SpotOn + AI Phone Answering: What Actually Changes
A plain guide for restaurants already running SpotOn on what changes — and what does not — when DineCall AI is added to the same phone line.
SpotOn is a restaurant platform that combines POS, payments, reporting, and guest marketing tools. It keeps the counter running and builds the guest profile over time. The phone line is a different channel — and it is the one that gets missed when the team is at full capacity. This is what changes when DineCall AI is added to a SpotOn setup, and what stays exactly the same.
What SpotOn handles well
SpotOn brings payments, reporting, and guest marketing into one workflow. A restaurant running SpotOn already has a system that tracks what guests order, how often they return, and how marketing performs. The counter is covered.
What does not change
When DineCall AI is added to a SpotOn setup, the POS setup stays exactly as it is. The terminals, the kitchen display, the payment flows, the guest profiles, the reporting — none of it is touched. SpotOn continues to manage the counter; DineCall manages the phone line.
The restaurant keeps its existing phone number. The AI picks up on that same line — callers dial the number they have always used.
What changes
Phone orders now arrive without a staff member picking up. The AI takes the full order, confirms it on the call, and it appears on DineCall's live kitchen order board. The kitchen team sees the same information from phone, online, and QR orders in one view.
Phone calls that SpotOn could not handle before — the caller who wanted to know the lunch hours, the pickup order that came in while the counter was busy, the table reservation that got voicemail — all of those are completed by the AI.
Setup takes 2–3 business days. There is no new hardware. The phone line is forwarded to DineCall's routing endpoint and the AI is configured with the restaurant's menu and policies. SpotOn configuration is not touched.
Pricing
One flat monthly fee and no commission: $199 CAD a month for the first 100 partner restaurants, then $399. No setup cost. That includes AI phone answering, table reservations, online ordering, QR ordering, and a restaurant website. SpotOn pricing is separate and unaffected.
