Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
DineCall AI Inc. ("DineCall," "we," "us," or "our") provides AI phone ordering and an all-in-one ordering platform for restaurants. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and we handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
1. Information we collect
We collect information in a few ways:
- Information you give us — when you request a demo, contact us, or sign up, we collect your name, email address, phone number, restaurant name, and anything else you choose to share.
- Information from restaurant operations — when the platform is in use, we process orders, call audio and transcripts, menu data, and the contact details that you and your customers provide so that calls can be answered and orders routed.
- Information collected automatically — like most websites, we collect device, browser, IP address, pages viewed, and similar usage data through cookies and analytics.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the website and services
- Answer calls, take and route orders, and power features such as CRM and analytics
- Respond to demo requests and support inquiries
- Send service messages and, with your consent where required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), marketing communications — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every marketing message
- Prevent fraud and abuse and comply with our legal obligations
3. Call recording and AI voice interactions
A core part of our service answers restaurant phone calls with an automated, AI-powered voice agent rather than a live person. To take and route orders accurately, provide support, maintain quality, and improve the service, calls handled through the platform may be recorded and transcribed.
Where notice or consent is required by law, callers are told that they are interacting with an automated system and that the call may be recorded, so they can decide how to proceed. Restaurants that use the platform are responsible for any further notice or consent their own operations require. We use call recordings and transcripts only for the purposes described in this policy and keep them in line with the "Data retention" section below.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences such as your language, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run the business (for example hosting, telephony, analytics, and payment processing), under contracts that limit how they may use the data
- The restaurant you are ordering from, when you place an order through the platform
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and security
- A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. In British Columbia, these rights are provided under the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA); other Canadian users are covered by PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws, and users elsewhere may have rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR. To make a request, email our Privacy Officer at hello@dinecall.ai and we will respond within the timelines the law requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).
9. International transfers
We are based in Canada and may process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where we or our service providers operate. When personal information is stored or accessed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of those countries; where required, we take steps to ensure it receives a comparable level of protection.
10. Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date above; material changes may be communicated by additional notice.
12. Contact us
We have designated a Privacy Officer who is accountable for our compliance with this policy and applicable privacy law. Questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices? Contact our Privacy Officer at hello@dinecall.ai — DineCall AI, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
